Been focusing so much on footwork and body position — rightly so, I believe — that I’ve been all but ignoring my hand and arm. Gives my coach another reason to bark at me.

Thumb up, a little to the right, at the 1:30 position. Four parry should just be a slight rotation of the wrist, radius coming over the ulna, thumb to 11:30. On extension the hand comes up and out, above the shoulder and below the ear. Really have to get a mirror down in the basement so I can check on that.

Elbow — keep in a hand’s width (fingers spread) from the body, in line with the hip.

There’s more that she’s been barking about to me of late, but that’s enough for me to focus on for now.
